Huitepec

Huitepec is a volcano in the northwestern part of the San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. It reaches an elevation of 2,761 metres above sea level. The mountain is characterized by steep slopes, some with gradients of up to 60 percent, and elevations ranging from approximately 2,230 to 2,710 metres. The climate is temperate, with a mean annual temperature of 14–15 °C and average annual precipitation of about 1,300 millimetres.
