Bhatra
Bhatra is a city in Bangladesh with a population of about 0.
The Bhatra Sikhs are a Sikh caste. They claim to originate from the Bhats (bards), religious musicians who served the Sikh gurus. In Punjab, they were originally confined to the Sialkot district but after the partition of India and creation of Pakistan in 1947, many would move to India. Their traditional occupation was hand-reading. During the 20th century, Bhatra Sikhs established a diaspora overseas. In India, there are two distinct groups associated with the name Bhat, a Brahmin group and a genealogist/bardic caste.
